First impression
When I unpacked X13 Pro, I was positively surprised. In the box you get not only the detector, but also pinpointer (mini detector for precise search), headphones, spatula, carrying bag and even sand filtersThis means you can start searching right away, without any additional purchases.
At first glance, it looks robust, although mostly plastic. It's not a premium device for professionals, but from the very beginning it gives the impression that it's a serious hobby detector - something between a toy and a professional tool.

Build quality
The housing is made of ABS plastic. This means it’s not indestructible, but it’s durable enough to withstand terrain, minor bumps, and dust. The bottom of the coil is waterproof – a big plus, as I was able to use it in damp meadows and even near water without fear of ruining it.
The LCD screen is clear, the buttons are large enough to press even with gloves on. The handle is padded and comfortable enough to hold for half an hour. watch Your arms don't hurt yet – but after three hours you still feel those 3 kilos.
Usability and functionality
X13 Pro allows multiple search modes:
- All metal – detects all metals, even those you don't want.
- Discrimination – filters out unwanted metals (e.g. nails, cans).
- Special modes – coins, jewelry, precious metals.
In practice, this means that I quickly found a pile of old iron and cans in the test area, but when I switched to a more selective mode, the detector ignored the waste and beautifully detected one old euro coin that I buried for testing.
Depth perception is realistically around 40–60 cm for smaller items (coins, jewelry) and up 2 meters for larger pieces of metal. The advertised 5 meters depth is more theory than practice – maybe with huge iron pieces in ideal soil. The pinpointer comes in very handy when you start digging, as it quickly shows the exact location of the object.
Headphones are useful because there is often wind or other noise in nature, and the LCD clearly shows the type of metal and signal strength.

Design
The detector looks professional. The black color with contrasting markings and a clear screen give it the impression that I would be happy to show it to some “treasure hunter” friend. The design is ergonomic, the arrangement of the buttons is logical, the handle is comfortable. The coil is large enough to cover the terrain, but still manageable for smaller spaces. The water resistance on the bottom is aesthetically beautiful and, above all, practical.
Price and value
The price of the X13 Pro is not the lowest, but considering what you get in the kit (accessories, features, pinpointer, bag), the value for money is good. For a beginner or serious hobbyist who wants more than just a “kid’s detector”, this is a very suitable choice. Professionals will probably choose more expensive and even more accurate models, but for most enthusiasts the X13 Pro offers a very balanced package.

Advantages
- The kit contains everything you need to get started (headphones, pinpointer, bag, spatula).
- Waterproof coil – no worries on wet floors or near water.
- Multiple search modes (discrimination, coins, jewelry).
- Relatively accurate separation between precious metals and waste.
- Clear LCD display + audible alarm.
Disadvantages
- The weight (≈ 3 kg) is noticeable with prolonged use.
- The plastic is not premium – it will likely wear out over the years.
- Depth perception in practice is less than promised in advertisements.
- For beginners, it takes some practice to understand the difference between the signals.
Final score: 8.5/10
