When I first saw Auto crane from Technic With 3711 pieces, it quickly became clear to me that this is not a kit for impatient builders. This is one of those models that, based on the number of pieces alone, promises evenings of assembly, lots of interesting mechanisms, and ultimately a model that will attract the attention of every construction machinery enthusiast.

First impression

The sheer size of the set gives the feeling that it is something special. The auto crane is one of the largest models in the category Technic blocks, so assembling is much more like building a real machine than a classic blocks game.

For nerds, the mechanisms are always the most interesting in such models. Cranes are not just about looks. What matters is how the extendable pieces, vehicle support, crane rotation and other functions are solved, which makes the model work realistically.

Assembly is not for one afternoon

If you're looking for a set that you can assemble in a few hours, then the Technic Crane probably isn't the right choice.

3711 pieces means a lot of steps, a lot of detail and a lot of concentration. And that is also the biggest advantage of such a model. Assembling becomes a project, not just a short-term pastime.

Nerd believes that these types of kits are most interesting for adult builders, teenagers, and anyone who enjoys technical challenges.

The final model looks impressive

With large Technic models, it is important that they do not end up in a packaging after completion.

The Crane made from bricks is one of those models that you'll happily display on a shelf, in your workshop, or office. Due to its size and numerous details, it feels much more like a model of a construction machine than a regular toy.

That is why such a set is also interesting as a gift for lovers of construction machinery.

Who would I recommend it to?
