Nerd test: i9 Max – 500 W scooter with 10″ honeycomb tires, up to 30 km/h and up to 40 km range

Hi! Nerd here – a fan of urban mobility who values reliability, ease of use and fair performance. This time I tested i9 Max: powerful 500 W scooter with large tires, robust design and interface Smart AppBelow is my review, with measurable data and user experience.

Technical inspection

Motor: 500 W brushless, three speed modes; allows up to 30 km/h (22 mph)

Battery: 36 V, 10 Ah (~374 Wh); range 30–40 km at moderate speed

Tires: 10″ honeycomb, tubeless, puncture resistant, with protective fluid

Suspension: double (front and rear) for comfortable driving on uneven surfaces

Housing: steel frame, folding mechanism Click-Lock, load capacity up to 120 kg

Water resistance: IP54 – protection against splashes and light rain

Screen: LED display – shows speed, battery, driving mode

Bluetooth / Smart App: MiniRobot app with locking, speed settings and driving statistics

My experience

Acceleration and speed

Through three modes (eco, normal, sport) I reached a stable 28–30 km/h in the highest. The engine responds immediately, climbing up to 20% slope no problem.

Reach

Driving on flat asphalt + easy to use app – one charge leads to 38 km, which matches the official data. On climbs and higher speeds, the range is reduced to 30 km.

Driving comfort

Honeycomb tires + front and rear spring damping provide a smooth ride even on paved or gravel surfaces.

Maintenance

The construction is simple, it folds quickly, the use of tire fluid is minimal. Reliable even after rain; only the use of IP54 means avoiding extreme humidity.

Advantages

500 W motor – acceleration up to 30 km/h, driving on slopes

10 Ah battery – up to 40 km range in ideal conditions

Solid tires – no worries about punctures

Double suspension – comfort on uneven terrain

Smart control via app, with graphic displays and locking

Robust construction, load capacity up to 120 kg and quick folding

Disadvantages

IP54 protection – only suitable for light rain, not for heavier water

Higher weight load – capacity fluctuates at 120 kg

Brake system is electronic + disk; not the most sensitive in wet weather

Comfort worse compared to pneumatic tires – less vibration absorption
