Nerd test of the Stratos 3 smartwatch

Hi, I'm Nerd - passionate about smartwatches, healthy living and sports. This time I took a closer look at Stratos 3, pametno uro z GPS‑om, Hi‑Fi glasovnimi klici in AMOLED zaslonom. Tukaj je moj izčrpen test – tehničnoa in uporabniškoa ocena.

Technical features (my summary)

Screen: 1.43-inch Ultra-HD AMOLED with 466 × 466 pixels, up to 1,000 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass – excellent sunlight readability.

GPS: Built-in satellite receiver (GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU), with accurate and fast location search.

Calling: Support for Bluetooth Hi-Fi voice calls with the microphone and speaker on the watch – even without a phone.

Battery: 400 mAh litij-polimer baterija – do 45 dni v varčnem načinu, do 20 dni med športno uporabo ali do 84 h GPS delovanja. Klicanje omogoča do 545 minut pogovora. Polnjenje okoli 1,5 watch.

Health tracking and sports: Heart rate, SpO₂, sleep, more than 100 sports modes and professional FIRSTBEAT algorithms. 80+ or 100+ as between versions.

Water resistance: IP68 standard – suitable for showering, sports or moderate swimming.

Connectivity: Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3, compatible with Android 4.4 and iOS 8.2+, syncs with Strava and Apple Health.

Weight and materials: Metal frame and silicon bracelet – only about 60 g.

My experience with the watch

Design and display

Elegant yet robust. The AMOLED display is extremely clear even in sunlight, the Always-On mode works well without excessive power consumption. Gorilla Glass has proven to be scratch-resistant.

GPS tracking and sports functionality

GPS works quickly and accurately, even when walking or running in the forest. Sports modes recognize more than 100 activities. Heart rate and blood oxygen are measured throughout the day, and activity analysis is meaningful and transparent.

Main advantage: calling

Mikrofon in zvočnik omogočata klice neposredno z watch. V tistem trenutku telefon sploh ni potreben – kar pomeni večjo neodvisnost. Zvok je jasen, a v hrupnejših okoljih nekoliko izgubi na glasnosti.

Autonomy

The battery really lasts a long time. It reaches up to 20 days with casual use, and up to 45 days in power saving mode. With active GPS tracking, it lasts up to 84 hours. The call can last a basic 545 minutes.

Weaknesses in practice

The app feels unintuitive at times, with users reporting occasional incomplete syncing. The blood pressure monitor isn't the most accurate. Call quality is poor in noisy city conditions. Some reviewers also point out that the app's navigation isn't as smooth.

I recommend the Stratos 3 if:

you want shiny AMOLED display and clear GPS, no phone during sports,

you need klice neposredno z watch (Bluetooth Hi‑Fi) for hands-free device,

you appreciate long battery life (several days without charging),

You are an active user (competition, hiking, fitness) and want precise control of your physical activity.

It may not be the best fit if:

it is important to you extremely precise application and complete stability (some users mention application errors),

you are looking for a very specific blood pressure monitor,

You need higher protection (IP69K or industrial durability), which the Stratos 3 model does not have.
