Nerd tests Technic bulldozer (1,988 bricks)

Hi! I'm a nerd – a builder, techie, and tester of various brick sets. This time I built and tested Technic-style bulldozer with 1,988 bricks. The set is probably manufactured by an unknown brand, but it is compatible with Technic bricks and has impressive functionality.

Specifications (according to my observations)

Number of particles: approximately 1,988 pieces – an impressive size for one model

Dimensions: approximately 45 cm long, 30 cm wide and 19 cm high

Functions: motorized drive, 4WD, remote control with multiple motors – allows driving, lifting the blade and ripper

Material: high quality ABS plastic, compatible with LEGO Technic

Mechanics: Working rollers, moving tracks and ripper – an accurate and technically interesting system of shafts and gears

My test: construction and operation

Construction

Assembly counts watch, not minutes. The complex instructions reveal the true enjoyment of assembly: with suspended movements, shafts and reverse mechanics, the whole thing works like a real working machine.

Driving and operating

Remote control allows smooth driving in all directions. The suspension works smoothly, the tracks allow realistic movement on uneven surfaces. The blade and rear ripper can be raised via the controller.

Stability and details

The model is stable due to the number of koss, and the aesthetics are almost professional. The mechanism for lifting the ripper and blade uses a rack-and-pinion construction - one of the more interesting mechanical systems in this class.

Advantages

Large set (1988 pieces) – a truly extensive and challenging project.

Mechanically functional – drive, blade lift, ripper and moving tracks.

Compatible with Technic – fully compatible.

Educational value – teaches drive systems, electro-motorics and mechanics.

Visually impressive – realistic color scheme and design.

Limitations and weaknesses

Not original LEGO – lately even better quality than lego.

Service and support – sometimes longer delivery time for spare parts.

Instructions – sometimes inconsistent or unclear, which slows down construction a bit.

Price vs. quality – no official standard LEGO The price is often higher for a comparable experience.

Who do I recommend this model to?

It is suitable if:

you enjoy extensive technical constructions and want a challenge,

you are curious about blade mechanisms, shafts, drive and programmable control logic,

Do you already have something? Technic sets and you want to expand your collection.

Not ideal for:

those looking for quickly completed models without complications,

those who want exclusive LEGO,

those looking for simple puzzles for kids without remote control.
