Nerd Test: Hawk 60 V 22.5 Ah – 1200 W Dual Motor Electric Scooter

Hi! I'm a Nerd – a fan of speed on two wheels. This time I triedHawk a scooter with a 60 V/22.5 Ah Li-ion battery, two 1200 W motors (total 2400 W), and 10″ off-road tires. Here is a comprehensive review.

Technical characteristics

Engine: 2 × 1200 W brushless DC motors with Hall sensors, sine wave controllers (9 × MOSFET, 27 A) – total power up to ~4000 W

Top speed: do 70 km/h (43 mph)

Battery: 60 V 22.5 Ah from 21700 cells with BMS to protect against breakage, overheating, overload; support dual charging

Reach: up to 70 km in ideal conditions, ~50 km in more complex terrain and fast driving

Suspension: adjustable hydraulic suspension with adjustable resistance – smooth off-road driving

Brake system: front and rear ZOOM hydraulic discs (140–160 mm), supported by EBS electronic braking

Tires: 10″ off-road tires – puncture-resistant and stable on a variety of surfaces

Display & features: large color LCD display (IP65), various speed modes, NFC cards for locking/unlocking, Android/iOS app

Weight and load capacity: about 35 kg, durable 6061 aluminum; load capacity up to 126 kg, IP54 protection against water and dust

Lighting: aluminum LED front light, rear light, turn signals and RGB LEDs around the hull and handlebars, adjustable via remote control

My experience during testing

Driveability and acceleration

By engaging the 3-speed speed mode, I was able to reach a stable 40 km/h in economy mode. On performance mode The scooter reached speeds of 60-65 km/h without stalling. The display clearly shows the speed, current range and consumption - very clear.

Suspension and comfort

The hydraulic shock absorbers are easy to adjust. I set the rebound to firm on asphalt, and soft on gravel and grass – you can feel the difference in comfort, without too much vibration on uneven surfaces.

Braking and control

Hydraulic discs with EBS and ABS (electronic) provided quick and reliable stopping. I quickly got used to the force modulation.

Range and charging

With mixed use (off-road + city), I achieved approximately 55 km of range, which is in line with the stated values. Charging with two chargers (~2 A) takes ~6 hours for full capacity.

Using apps & NFC

NFC cards are practical for locking without passwords. The app via Bluetooth allows you to view statistics, real-time locking and choose color lighting. The LCD screen adjusts brightness depending on the surroundings.

Advantages

Power and speed: 2400 W constant, unlocked up to 70 km/h

High self-sufficiency: 60 V 22.5 Ah battery, range up to 70 km

Equally fast on the road and in the city: adjustable suspension for different conditions

Advanced security features: ZOOM brake system, BMS, NFC lock

Endurance: aluminum body, tubeless tires, IP54 protection

Smart equipment: color screen, app and RGB LED ambient effect

Weaknesses and shortcomings

Weight (~35 kg) is noticeable when carrying; not ideal for everyday carrying

High price, which is at the upper limit of the category

Not IP65 or IP68 – use with caution in heavy rain or water

Regular service required: hydraulic brakes and suspension require maintenance and adjustments

Falling range on difficult terrain and constant speed – in complex terrain, the actual range is closer to 50 km, not 70 km
